LIVE MARKETS-It doesn't matter to be in the DAX

STOXX is set to review the DAX indices on September 3 but getting promoted into the blue chip DAX index from the midcap Mdax might not do much for a stock beyond a bit of pride. Deutsche Bank 514000 have run the numbers and found that companies joining the DAX have tended to underperform on the day of the rebalancing, where as those that left tended to outperform. The logic, they say, is "The greater weighting companies receive in the MDAX often outweighs the larger volume of DAX-tracking funds, creating net buying pressure for DAX leavers and selling pressure for new entrants." You might think that would be just a one day thing, but Deutsche found a year after addition to the DAX, new joiners underperformed the index by 8% over the past 20 years. Out of 41 new joiners, only 16 managed to outperform the index in their first year as a member.

Their theory as to why is that many companies experience strong share price gains before joining the index — after all that's necessary to get them in — and so are then vulnerable to profit taking. That one doesn't work the other way around though. Deutsche find companies that underperformed and so left the DAX continued to underperform the index in the year after dropping out. This may all matter for Lufthansa 823212 Deutsche say they are close to getting into the DAX at this latest rebalance. They don't currently meet the criteria, though are close enough that a strong performance in the next few days ahead of the August 31 cut off could put them in. If so, Zalando ZAL111 and Scout24 are the most likely to drop out.

Jensen rettet wieder einmal den Markt. Ich frage mich aber, wie lange das noch gut gehen kann. So langsam sollten wir an die Wachstumsgrenzen stoßen. Niemand sollte erwarten, dass Nvidia NVDA auch nächstes Jahr noch 90 % wächst.

Die finanziellen Möglichkeiten von Nvidias Kunden sind inzwischen maximal ausgelastet. Der Q3 Umsatz wird wahrscheinlich bei rund 110 Mrd. $ liegen. Ich gehe deshalb davon aus, dass Nvidia NVDA ab nächstem Jahr nur noch mit 15-25 % pro Jahr wachsen wird.

Über den Umfang meiner Convoy-Sammlung möchte ich nicht sprechen 🫣

Fireflylite/FFL und Hanklights/Noctigon/Emisar sind was Materialanmutung und Treiber angeht meist ein kleines Stück über Convoy, Preis-Leistung-technisch bleiben letztere aber der unangefochtene König. Alle drei lassen sich mittlerweile individuelle Emitter bei den großen LED-Herstellern fertigen.

Habe die D4V2 als Dual Channel mit einer Kombination aus Throw (W1 6000K) und Flood (NTG35 4200K).

Es bleibt natürlich eine relativ kompakter Kopf aus dem physiaklisch bedingt keine gigantische Reichweite raus kommt, aber durch die unterschiedlichen LES und anfeosste TIR-Optiken macht das schon eine ganz netten Unterschied und man kann sich die zwei Channels stufenlos zusammenmischen um unterschiedliche Beam Pattern zu erzeugen. Auf Turbo ordentlich hell und warm.

Für reines Farbtemperaturmixing habe ich auch eine S21F. NTG35 5000K mit NTG35 1800K in einer beliebigen Dual Channel Emisar stelle ich mir aber auch nett vor. Und wenn du sowieso dort bestellst kann ich noch eine D3AA empfehlen, meine absolute Lieblingslampe im 14500er Format – immer wieder faszinierend was aus dem Zwerg raus kommt.
